Get involved
The smooth running of Pip & Jim's relies on volunteers to give their time and
money. Volunteering is a great way to get involved, meet new people and serve the church.
Here's some ideas of how you can help:
-
Welcome team
The welcome team provide a friendly face to those arriving at church, and help those who are new feel welcome and at home at Pip & Jims.
-
Children's groups
Help out with our lively children's groups on a Sunday morning. There's PJ Gang for pre-school to Year 6, and Pathfinders for those in Years 7-9. Volunteering with childrens work teams is subject to our Safer Recruitment processes which includes obtaining a DBS check.
-
"The Net"
We run a drop-in coffee morning in "The Net" community cafe on Silverweed Road. This is a great opportunity to get to know people who live in the local community, and we need volunteers to serve drinks and chat to those who come along.
-
Technical team
We have a team of people who operate the sound desk and projection software during services and other events. Training is provided, so you don't need any special technical skills - just able to learn and stay calm under pressure!
-
Worship groups
Our worship groups include a number of musicians and vocalists, but we're always on the lookout for others. If you're musical, let us know!
If you'd like to get involved in any of these areas, or anywhere else in the life of the church,
let us know and we'll get you signed up!
